What It Is

What Permanent Roofline Lighting Actually Is

Set It From Your Phone

Change colors, patterns, and timing with a tap — no ladder required.

Permanent vs. Traditional

A straightforward comparison.

For a lot of homeowners, holiday lighting has always been a seasonal tradition. For some, that’s part of the fun. For others, it starts to feel like a lot of effort for something temporary.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We've been using Santa's Elves for our holiday lighting the past several years and could not be more pleased with their services. They are timely, efficient, professional and friendly. They do a wonderful job with the lighting on our house, as well as removing the lighting at end of season. We look forward to their arrival each holiday season! Highly recommend!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was our first time using Santa’s Elves. We signed our contract on a Friday evening and our lights were up on Monday afternoon. Appreciate the quick turnaround. Can’t wait to turn them on for the season.

FAQ

Common Questions, Clear Answers

How long does installation take?

Most permanent roofline installations are completed in a single day. Larger or more complex homes can take longer, and you’ll get a clear timeline before work starts.

Is the lighting visible during the day?

It’s designed not to be. Low-profile fixtures install flush along the roofline and blend into the architecture in daylight. Most visitors don’t realize it’s there until it’s on.

Can I control it from my phone?

Yes. The system is app-controlled — colors, patterns, brightness, and timing all set from your phone.

Will it work for holidays beyond Christmas?

Any occasion. Halloween, Fourth of July, Valentine’s Day, school colors, anniversaries, birthdays, playoff runs — program it however you like.

Is it more expensive than traditional holiday lights?

The upfront investment is higher than a single season, but the value compounds: no yearly install or takedown cost, no replacing failed strands, and it’s used year-round rather than a few weeks each December.

Should I do permanent roofline lighting or seasonal holiday lighting?

Both are good options. If you like a fully decorated look each year — wrapped trees, garland, wreaths, and custom seasonal décor — our seasonal service is the better fit. If you mainly want roofline color with zero annual effort, permanent roofline lighting makes more sense. Plenty of homeowners do both.
