University City projects often involve historic and architecturally significant homes where the display has to respect original character — heavy-handed lighting looks out of place quickly here. We use warm tones, low-profile placements, and lower-output, carefully aimed product that fits smaller lots and shallow setbacks without spilling onto neighbors. Several neighborhoods are private places with their own community standards, and others sit within National Register districts, so we design appropriately and provide documentation for review when it’s needed. The Delmar Loop also drives a steady stream of commercial work — storefronts, restaurants, and mixed-use buildings — and because U City is highly walkable, we design front-yard lighting to hold up to pedestrian-level inspection.
